It’s time to treat yourself to a couple of hours of total YUM!
The class will begin with grounding, calming pranayama (breath work) to start the process of quieting the mind and getting in touch with the body.
This will be followed by restorative yoga, a delicious and deeply relaxing practice of supported poses, which utilize bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps to fully support the body. Each posture is held passively for several minutes, giving your nervous system a much-needed break.
Finally, the last portion will be yoga nidra, or a guided savasana meditation. Often called waking sleep, yoga nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation, which rejuvenates and renews the physical body.
This class is designed to give your mind and body a mini vacation and is appropriate for any level student seeking to reduce and counter the effects of stress on the mind and body.
